Every year, Nike partners with the Doernbecher Children's hospital and the hospital staff choose six children who are current patients to each design a one of a kind Nike shoe for the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle program, where all of the shoe and merchandise sales are donated directly to the hospital. In 2016, one of the participants was a massive LEGO fan, so Nike commissioned me to create a larger than life version of his shoe out of LEGO bricks.
